  Calling the left a cult is like the pot calling the kettle black. I love how some always resort to name calling like little children. Have you ever thought if you treat everyone with respect on their viewpoints they just might listen to your ideas. We have a leader in the White House who has lead this country by dividing instead of bringing everyone together.

  Their would have been no U.S. if it wasn't for liberalism. Our forefathers at the risk of their lives had this crazy idea to break away from Britain. The conservative thinking ones wanted to stay as loyal British subjects. Would you called our forefathers liberal tards? Both sides have good ideas and need to be listen to. But name calling like little children holds no water. We all left a cult and to believe what we want to is a great freedom. But tearing down bridges among us is not the answer. Let the debate continue but if we settle for only one lane of thought the debate will be over and then we are in real trouble. Still Totally ADD

  Oh for crying out loud. They are not talking about getting rid of the police. Most realize the police are over burden with dealing with the homeless, mental illness and drug addiction. Instead of arming the police even more why not use that money to go to agencies that will take care of these problem. Jails should not be used for mentally ill like they do now. Why are people given jail time for drugs? That's what they are talking about not getting rid of the police. But helping these people by other agencies instead of burdening the police with it. You so called right thinking is getting in the way of logic. No one wants to get rid of the police if you think they do I got some swamp land for sale. Still Totally ADD

  Thank you Pale. Viruses are funny things they can show up anywhere. If you could ask the almost 110,000 who have died from it or the close to 2 million who came down with the virus what would they say. The lock down happen so the hospitals would not become overwhelmed with sick people. It is a short time solution with the hope they can come up with a vaccine.

  Here many feel it is all over. Big wedding a week ago in our area now 20 came down with the virus. Yesterday a block from us a large birthday party of more than 30 people. I hope none come down with it. We are just a rural community not a large city. Look at Florida and other hot spots. It's not over it is not fake news. Some on this board came down with it. This is the type of conspiracies theory that hurt people. Still Totally ADD

  Hierarchy of Organization

  hi, i'm looking for the article published in the 90s i think (i was a teenager) and it showed a diagram of the organizational hierarchy, at the top was jesus, then governing body all the way down to publishers it was in a pyramid style org chart.... can someone point me in the right direction?

  additionally, does anyone remember the article or any articles that stated how bad it was that other religions had hierarchy like that?

  i remember this being discussed at like a watchtower study or maybe it was a bookstudy.... i am on the hunt for another topic to discuss with my jw parents.

  my 87 year old dad called me for the first time in 16 years the other day .... just to chat.

  i was floored to say the least since he didn't even bother to call me when my mom died several years ago.

  he called again today to inquire how i felt about jehovah's witnesses.

  So let's say they will no longer go door to door anymore. Does that mean a older one dye in the wool witness goes door to door on their own, are they now a apostate? This is truly a slippery slope they are going down if this is true. How could they be called Jehovah Witnesses? If they are not knocking on doors. Maybe it is just wishful thinking on their part.   Economic Recovery after COVID-19

  it feels like we've really turned a corner, this morning especially.. the covid lockdowns are ending and medical systems were not overwhelmed plus there are existing treatments that have been proven to be effective (like hydroxychloroquine) and new vaccines and medicines in the pipeline.

  a week or so ago the dems were dead against opening things up but since they are encouraging protests (which often turn violent) they can't continue that stance - thus proving trumps claim that it will soon be gone.

  the majority of the deaths were politician-assisted (which i hope people are prosecuted for) so it's not the big risk we were led to believe and (over) reacted to.. the bls reported this morning that the us economy just added a huge number of jobs (most on record) and will undoubtedly benefit even more from a drive to source local production and supply chains going forwards.

  The Stock market will be a V but the rest of the economy will be a big U if not flat. The billionaires have accomplished one of the biggest money shifts in history. The average guy will be suffering for years to come. By the way there is still no proof that hydroxychloroquine works on the virus but there is lots of evidence it is unsafe for Covd-19 virus. A vaccine is the big hope we are looking for.

  In FL it is still going up and in our little neck of the woods in western NY it is still going up. So be safe out there by using social distancing and wearing a mask. Take care. Still Totally ADD

  How Would You React if a Snake Started Talking to You?

  just an odd thought i guess.

  i saw a large snake in the back of my house the other day and it went on its merry way.

  i just asked myself, what if the snake turned around and wanted to have a philosophical discussion on life, the universe or the origin of creation and then began to ask me questions?

  I have seen a group of black snakes doing a mating dance. I have had a snake rattle at me and I have had numerous snakes scare the crap out of me. But I have never had one talk to me. In the bible there are two snake stories. The Eve with the talking snake and Moses making a snake come to life from his staff and eating other snakes. Like others I don't like snakes but as soon as they evolve into talking snakes I am leaving this planet. Lol. Still Totally ADD

  growing up in the 70's and 80's in the jw religion who remembers the massive stadium gigs the watchtower used to hold?.

  we used to denounce false religion in the starkest of terms.

  we were right and by god we were letting anyone who listened know it.

  Phizzy like you I am a old fart born in the mid 1950's. I remember very well the large conventions, new information and more so called enlightment. It was exciting when a new book came out. The 1971 conventions come to mind when the new elder arrangement came out. It was a time of of fear and excitement of the new system.

  By the late 1980's all that started to die down. No exciting new information, books were mostly rehashed stuff from older books and then the boring conventions came. By the time 2000's came and no new system in sight it all became changing major teachings to peat and repeat. Along with the art of dumbing down everything. By the time I left in 2010 it was the start of the big money grab. Next it's time to become a televangelist organization. If they do it right they will be richer than ever just like the other televangelist scam artist on TV. Still Totally ADD

  i wanted to just read some of the beliefs from decades ago.

  my wife wants to know why i'm reading this book.

  My parents died from the corona virus

  both my 84 yr old jw father and my never my jw mother 82 with both together died from the the corona in 24 hours of each other.

  i can tell many fighting i have had here in the last 20 years.on this site .

  i juy hope they rest in peace.

  So sorry for your loss. I wish you peace of mind and spirit as you go through the emotions of your loss. As was said to me last week on the death of my Mon give it time and allow time for your emotional feelings to heal. My heart goes out to you. Take care. Still Totally ADD
